Past
and present diet:
Her past diet was mainly lean meat, fish and other animal products.
She preferred fried or baked dishes. Dairy products, especially cheese
and yoghurt, also formed a major part of her diet. She had eaten lots
of chocolate and other sweet foods since childhood, and lots of canned
fruit but hardly any fresh fruit or vegetables. All foods were well
salted during cooking and more salt was added at the table. Her consumption
of well-sugared coffee was high. She drank alcohol daily, but in modest
quantities. She hated water.
Her diet had improved slightly in the last year. She had cut her consumption
of cheese and canned fruit and now used artificial sweeteners instead
of sugar in her coffee.
Interpretation and conclusions from first consultation:
Edna showed signs of low gastric secretion and digestive enzyme
deficiency, consistent with her age and her poor diet over many
years. Her diet was clearly suppressive and deficient in important
minerals and vitamins, including anti-oxidants, which had had the
overall effect of compromising many of the bodies systems and overall
cell function. This partly explained her symptoms of flatulence,
belching, indigestion, constipation, allergies and thin splitting
nails. Food allergies and hay fever are aggravated by over-consumption
of dairy products and by poorly digested proteins.
Many of the symptoms she had point to an underlying problem of fluctuating
blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia).
Caution! Please note that hypoglycaemia, if not treated,
can progress into type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Progress:
During the follow-up consultation four weeks later, Edna reported
very good progress. Most of her symptoms had improved and others
had disappeared completely:
She had not craved for alcohol or coffee and had started drinking
chlorine free water.
She also had more energy and feels less anxious.
She did not binge on sweet things anymore because the programme
encourages her to eat every four hours, so she never became hungry.
Comment:
Edna was happy to continue through all the advancing stages of treatment.
She needed to continue the treatment longer to fully heal the organs
and systems and to reverse some of the cellular damage already done.
She reported further improvement at her second follow-up consultation
after eight weeks.

Reasons
for Consultation:
He needed treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). After extensive
gastro-enterological examinations by specialists neither his GP
nor the specialists offered him any treatment because they could
not find a diagnosis for his problem – severe diarrhoea for
about 6 months. He had initially been given Imodium to stop the
diarrhoea but this had not been effective.
